It encompasses everything from the clarity of a single coil, to the robust low-and mid-range bark of a split-coil. Fast, powerful lows combined with sharp mids and crystalline highs make for a direct unambiguous bass sound that both stimulates and supports every groove; the ceramic pickups have massive steel core poles that produce crystal clear snap together with soft natural compression – simply excellent!
Because of the pickups’ fairly narrow and wide frequency response, these are perfect replacements for modern-to-vintage funk- or rock-oriented players. They are great at low-tuned bass and come with plenty of tone control to make sure that down in the dirtiest bottom notes stay tight, focused, and full!
SCARBEE SUN BASS – FINGER is a specially designed studio playing tool to give an authentic and undeniable dynamic experience, including pre-tones for early attacks/fingering/phase-corrected vital setting/articulation timing. Based on our massive recording of all those different attack transients, don’t expect to use a positive delay with the second peak and try using -52 ms (the black line would be about 5-6ms starting like normal percussion).
With the recent release of version 1.1, we now offer an additional option for the instrument: a “Live” version, designed with reduced latency, making it suitable for live performance or recording. After recording MIDI, you can switch to the “full” version to achieve an optimal and complete sound.
